The temperature of pharmaceutical and food warehouses is monitored day and night. Even if the power goes out, the device keeps running for 48 hours, and when something goes wrong the people in charge get an SMS immediately.

Refrigerated semis and trucks drive real routes on the map. Pick a vehicle and watch the 8 sensors in the cargo box, the door and the reefer live. Open a door, cause a failure, speed up time — and save the cargo in time.
Temperatures come from a simple heat model: the reefer pulls the box to its set point, outside air rushes in when the door is open, and with a failed unit the box warms a few degrees per hour despite insulation. Outside temperature depends on the vehicle’s location and the time of day. Cargo outside the safe range for more than 90 minutes counts as lost.

The story
How we built it
In cold chain logistics, a temperature deviation can cause millions of dollars in product loss and public health risks. We developed a monitoring system compliant with FDA and ISO 22000 standards.
The custom-designed electronic board runs reliably between -40 °C and +85 °C. A built-in battery keeps data logging and GSM notifications going for 48 hours during a power cut.
A cloud-based dashboard shows a live temperature map of every warehouse. When a threshold is crossed, an alarm goes out instantly by SMS and email.
